For the financial year ending 2026
Novus Construction Limited is committed to acting ethically in all its business dealings and to putting in place systems and controls to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring anywhere in our business or supply chain.
This statement is published in accordance with our commitment to transparency. Although we fall below the turnover threshold that makes publication a legal requirement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we publish this statement voluntarily as a reflection of our values and the standards we expect of ourselves and those we work with.
Novus Construction Limited is a London-based construction company providing specialist carpentry and joinery subcontracting services to main contractors and developers, and delivering high-end residential refurbishments, extensions and new builds for private clients. We operate across London and the Home Counties.
Our supply chain consists primarily of skilled trade operatives and subcontractors working in the UK construction sector, and materials suppliers. All operatives engaged on our projects are required to hold valid CSCS cards, confirming their identity, qualifications and right to work in the UK.
We verify the identity and qualifications of all operatives before engagement. We do not use labour-only subcontractors through unverified third parties, and we do not make deductions from wages for tools, equipment or accommodation. All workers engaged on our projects are paid at or above the National Minimum Wage.
We operate within a regulated industry with established health and safety frameworks, induction processes and site management structures that support visibility of all workers on site.
As a small business operating predominantly with directly engaged or well-established subcontract trades in the UK, we consider our exposure to modern slavery risk to be low. We remain vigilant and will take immediate action if any concerns are raised.
Anyone with concerns about modern slavery in connection with Novus Construction Limited is encouraged to report them directly to our director at info@novus-construction.co.uk. Concerns can also be reported to the Modern Slavery Helpline on 08000 121 700 or at modernslaveryhelpline.org.
